What other jobs have you had? I was the high school math teacher in Argonia before coming to Wilson.  I had many responsibilities such as: Activities Director, StuCo & Math Club Sponsors, and Coaching (Football, B/G Basketball, & Track).

What is the hardest part of your job?  I enjoy every aspect of being in this position.  My experience has been with the JH and HS students and their curriculum, the hardest part for me is to learn the elementary curriculum and how these students think and react to different circumstances.

What do you enjoy most about your job?  Since I am the K-12 Principal, I get to see the whole process of life.  I love to see the little ones come bubbling into school with the eagerness to learn.  I enjoy seeing the middle level and high school students build relationships with their teachers and their peers.

What do you do in your free time?  I love to play golf, when my wife lets me out of the house.  We have three wonderful children, when I am home, I enjoy spending time with them playing outside.  I can't wait until they are able to play golf, then this would allow me more time on the course.

Profile:

I joined Wilson Schools in Sept of 2003.

I have been in the secretarial/admin assistant field since graduating from Kiser Business College in Alhambra, California in 1954.    I did take some time off to get married and start our family of two children, Deb and Jon.

We lived in California until I retired from Hughes Company in 1991.  Moved to the "country", real country of Dorrance,  the day after I left the job!!!    We returned to California the next year to visit family and came back  to Dorrance with our daughter, Deb Wilson, and son-in-law, to start their family in the country, which now numbers two, Taylor Marie and Timothy Clayton.  Our son, Jon, migrated to Phoenix ten years ago, where he is in the construction business.  Single and no children.  Has a lovely home with pool; we visit at least once a year in late spring.

Gordon, my husband of 47 years, is a retired Quality Manager from the aerospace world.  He is originally from Michigan - migrated to California in the 50's - and has two grown daughters.  One now has lived in Alaska for the past 20+ years.  We visited her there in mid 2002.  Single and no children.   His 'younger' daughter has remained in California with her family of three grown children.  The youngest is now married....

I guess I enjoy working, since I've done it all my life!  We do some traveling just to keep in touch with family and see more of the countryside.  I enjoy the grandchildren, and being in the farm country.  Our church is important to us and we have many friends there.
